Liverpool FC and Portugal international forward Diogo Jota has tragically passed away at the age of 28 following a car accident in Spain. The crash, which also claimed the life of his brother, André Silva, occurred in the early hours of Thursday in the Zamora province.

Guardia Civil, the fatal accident happened around 12:30 a.m. local time. Jota and Silva were reportedly traveling in a Lamborghini when a tyre blowout occurred during an overtaking maneuver, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and catch fire.
Both men died at the scene. The tragic news has sent shockwaves through the football world.

Jota’s younger brother, André Silva, aged 26, was also a professional footballer. He played for Portuguese second-tier side Penafiel and was known for his technical ability and promise on the pitch.
