“It was out of my control,” Flagg told ESPN after the lottery. “I didn’t try to think about it too much.”

Dallas CEO Rick Welts expressed his excitement after receiving the winning envelope.
“I am so happy for Mavericks fans,” Welts said. “It’s going to really be something special. I can’t wait to get back to Dallas.”
